In the year 2005 dr Prosper Moh and I have founded a NGO named FONOC:
Foundation for Northern Orthopaedic Concern.
Its purpose is to provide outreach services -
The Dutch foundation “Let’s Move Moh” has sponsored a Toyota Landcruiser -
By now many missions (click) have been made to the hospitals of Damongo, Wa, Nandom, Bolgatanga and Bawku., mainly by
dr Moh and dr and mrs de Ruijter de Wildt
Many operations have been performed in Nandom, Bolgatanga and Bawku, formerly all fully deprived from any orthopaedic care.
I am happy to tell on this place that some younger doctors got inspired by our orthopaedic mission and have gone into training for orthopaedic surgeon themselves.
Presently dr Abel Tunni from Presby Hospital Bawku has finished his training in Makarere University Kampala Uganda in July 2011 and returned to Bawku as an orthopaedic surgeon!
Dr Robert Amesiya from St Theresa Hospital Nandom has gone into training at the same University, per 1 August 2011
